Waystones

Waystones let you fast travel between points of interest in a more vanilla-style way, similar to warps or homes that you see in other servers. They must be crafted - they don't generate naturally.

Waystone Crafting Recipe

Waystones can be crafted using:

  • 1x Lodestone

  • 2x Amethyst Shards

  • 1x Eye of Ender

  • 3x Base Blocks (determines variant)

Variants by Base Block
  • Andesite → Andesite Waystone

  • Sandstone → Sand Waystone

  • Nether Bricks → Nether Waystone

  • Mossy Stone Bricks → Mossy Waystone

  • Cobbled Deepslate → Deepslate Waystone

  • Copper Block → Copper Waystone

  • Prismarine Bricks → Prismarine Waystone

  • Tuff → Tuff Waystone

Usage Tips

  • Rename in an Anvil before placing to easily identify it later.

  • Icons in the Waystone menu depend on the base block.

  • Right-click the top of the Waystone to open the GUI.

  • Left-click another Waystone in the list to teleport.

  • You can bring your mounts and leashed mobs with you when teleporting.

Waystone Attributes

In the Waystone interface, the middle toolbar contains three attribute buttons - visible only to the owner:

  • Visibility – controls who can see the Waystone

  • Protection – toggles interaction permissions

  • Shared With – manages player access

If you have many Waystones, pagination buttons appear in the bottom corners to navigate through pages.

Visibility
  • Discoverable: Others must find and activate the Waystone once before it shows up in their list.

  • Private: Only you, Waystone managers, and players you’ve shared it with can see it.

  • Public: Everyone on the server can see and use it.

Protection
  • Off: Anyone (or even explosions) can break the Waystone.

  • On: Only you or server admins can remove it - keeps it safe from griefing.

Shared With

To share a private Waystone, place a Writable Book in the slot with your friends’ usernames - one name per page, exactly as spelled (case-sensitive). You can update or remove the book anytime to change who has access.

Commands

Hide Waystone Coordinates

Useful if you're recording or streaming and don't want your Waystone locations to appear on screen.

  • Hide Coordinates: /trigger pk.waystones.trigger.hide_coordinates set 1

  • Show Coordinates: /trigger pk.waystones.trigger.hide_coordinates set 2

Forget a Waystone

Removes a discovered or shared Waystone from your list until you find it again.

/trigger pk.waystones.trigger.forget_waystone set <id>

You can find the <id> by hovering over the Waystone in the GUI - it appears in the tooltip or beside its name at the top.
