Venture Anticheat (VAC)
This document outlines the key information about V.A.C., the anticheat system on Venture. 📛
What is the V.A.C?
The V.A.C. stands for Venture Anticheat, also known as "Venture Against Cheaters." It is our Cheat Detection System designed to ensure fairness, safety, and security across the Venture server. Hacking is strictly prohibited to maintain a level playing field for all players.
The V.A.C. actively monitors all players on the SMP for irregularities in client behavior, detecting improbable actions that deviate from vanilla gameplay. If cheating is detected, the system attempts to block it, alerts staff, and may ban the player if the activity is deemed severe or unsafe. Bans issued by the V.A.C. occur only when there is a 100% certainty of cheating.
Why was I banned by the V.A.C?
You may have been banned for one or more of the following reasons:
Actively using unfair advantages on the SMP.
Running a mod that sent irregular or suspicious data to the server.
Using macros or AutoClickers improperly (though this is rare).
How can I avoid being banned by the V.A.C?
Familiarize yourself with and follow the latest SMP rules.
Avoid using modifications unless you are certain they are allowed.
Refrain from using automated or toggling macros.**
